
Prejean's gumbo, one of the most delicious dishes on Royal Street at the New Orleans Roadfoodfest, also was served at the Friday night kickoff party and Blue Plate Award presentation. When we heard that Prejean's Chef Ernest was going to be cooking it up next to his truck in the parking lot, Susan Landry and I fairly skipped outside for a snootful. Susan snapped this picture just as I was bending down to inhale the gumbo's perfume -- an aroma that is sheer seduction.
