Hadfields Crab
Hadfield's Seafood, the fish market in New Castle, DE on North Dupont Highway, closed earlier this year.  We understand there are plans to reopen it later this month "in a different form."  What does that mean?  Your guess is as good as ours.  In the meantime, the Hadfield's in Chadds Ford, PA, just over the border with Delaware on 202, remains open.  In his review of Hadfield's, Michael Stern said, "This is crab country, and crabs are a Hadfield’s specialty, but you’ll find all kinds of mid-Atlantic seafood on ice behind glass on the shelves."

We didn't love the food here, but it is hard not to appreciate a place with a giant crab over the doorway.
