According to our 2011 Roadfood Calendar, today is National Cheeseburger Day, which got us thinking of our all-time favorites.  The classics from Peter Luger, Bobcat Bite, and Shady Glen immediately come to mind, but the best inexpensive cheeseburger prize goes to Char-Grill in Raleigh, North Carolina.  What is your favorite Roadfood cheeseburger?

It's a close one, but the winner for me is the steamed cheeseburger from Ted's in CT, with the Shady Glen burger coming in a close second.

Rob, if you like Ted's, then you'll absolutely LOVE K. Lamay's and the Lunchbox, both in Meriden (we reviewed both). I think they're better than Ted's, but I'd love to hear your judgment!

Definitely the green chile cheseburger at Bobcat Bite. Mr. Hoffman agrees with me.

Chris, they both sound great, and there is no doubt I will go there the next time in CT. Trips there have not been as frequent as I would like, but there is time to change that.

Still the cheeseburger at Peter Luger's though those green chile cheeseburger sliders at Shopsin's are a close 2nd!

While Stephen Rushmore doesnt agree with me, I absolutely love the cheeseburgers at Kopps custard stand.Of course its a side to the custard......

Might not be my favorite; but it's up there.... Cheeseburger with grilled onions from White Hut in West Springfield, MA. In fact, I just had one yesterday at the Big E!!
