Crawfish Pie
Anyone who's ever been to the food festival Roadfood puts on every spring in New Orleans (next year's gathering, newly named FoodFest: America's Hometown Eats, will be held March 22nd through 24th) is sure to have vivid taste memories of the exquisite, vaguely curry-flavored crawfish pies served crisp and hot from the fryer by Lasyone's of Natchitoches (see the review). This weekend, Jane and Michael Stern appear on Lynne Rossetto Kasper's radio show, The Splendid Table, to discuss the pies, and Lasyone's. You can hear the show on your local public radio station.
