Rich Magner has owned Krazy Jim's Blimpy Burger in Ann Arbor, MI since 1993, but the building housing the business remained in the hands of Patricia Shafer, widow of Jim Shafer, Krazy Jim's 1953 founder (see the Roadfood.com review). The University of Michigan has purchased the property from Ms. Shafer, forcing Mr. Magner to close Kray Jim's in the summer of next year. He's currently looking for a place to relocate. Rich Magner acknowledges that the university made a generous offer to Patricia Shafer and does not blame her for accepting it.
