Patsy Grimaldi has just opened Juliana's Pizza, at 19 Old Fulton Street in Brooklyn, NY. Mr. Grimaldi, who learned to make pizza at his uncle Patsy Lancieri's legendary East Harlem pizzeria (see the Roadfood.com review), originally opened his own pizzeria, also called Patsy's, at this very location in 1990. When his uncle's pizzeria was sold, the corporation that bought it sued Mr. Grimaldi, forcing him to change the name to Grimaldi's. Mr. Grimaldi sold his own pizzeria (and rights to the name) in 1998. That new owner lost his lease last year and moved Grimaldi's around the corner. Now Patsy Grimaldi has moved back into his original space. Without the rights to the names Patsy and Grimaldi, he called it Juliana's in honor of his mother.
