Downtown Primanti's Has Closed

The Primanti's branch in downtown Pittsburgh on Cherry Way closed yesterday. Not to worry, the Market Square branch is just a few blocks away (although we still recommend that first-timers visit the original Primanti in the Strip District). See the Roadfood.com review of Primanti's.

I think this was the smaller location near Kaufmann's, now Macy's. I walked past many times, but never ate at this one.

Yes, BB, thats the one. It's my understanding that they are closing this location in order to expand the Market Square location.

I am not a big Primanti's fan, but this was my favorite location. I thought it had a lot more Roadfood ambiance than the Strip District mothership.
