Digest: OK Burger
Posted by Michael Stern on Friday, March 8, 2013 7:05 AM

To the not-so-short list of great Oklahoma hamburgers, please add the Westside Burger at Linda-Mar in Tulsa. It is two juice-oozing quarter-pound patties, cheese, and trimmings sandwiched between crisp, butter-grilled slabs of Texas toast.

While dining, you can watch the Andy Griffith Show, which is constantly on the corner TV.

Cousin Johnny and I split one of those Westside Burgers when we stopped at Linda-Mar last year. I wouldn't want every burger to be served on buttery Texas toast, but it was a real nice change of pace. Tulsa is a great burger town!

Looks better then any "chefified" burger could ever hope to look.

Myterry: The Texas toast is a pretty light crumb, and kind of compacts down as you hold and eat your sammitch. I'm thinking the two burgers will balance out pretty good against the toast.
