As Buffetbuster remarked in my previous Digest post about Linda-Mar's Westside Burger, Tulsa is one grand burger town. A very good one I had for the first time on a recent trip was a Double Deluxe cheeseburger at Freddie's. It is a pair of 1/4-pound patties with the works (mustard, pickles, lettuce, onions [fried and raw]. tomatoes and, if desired, mayonnaise).

Freddie's has a lonesome, Edward Hopper look at dusk, and there were some sullen types on stools at counter, but around back in a couple of cozy dining nooks that double as storage areas, cheerful families were downing burgers by the dozen and "Tator Tots" by the hundred.
