So far, the most amazing dish I have eaten at Foodfest (along with Gus's fried chicken. Lasyone's crawfish pie, Hominy Grill's rib sandwich, and Cafe Reconcile's banana Foster bread pudding): Oceana's grilled oysters Rockefeller nachos. After stuffing myself at booth after booth, I vowed not to eat until the night's crawfish boil. But then Oceana's Moe Bader handed me this staggeringly delicious creation, which I devoured completely. I headed back to the hotel for a nap, stopping only once on the way out of the festival, at Abbott's frozen custard stand, for a small cup of chocolate almond.
