This may or may not be old news. The Big Kolache of Austin, TX was originally written up for Roadfood.com by Michael Stern and, when we visited a few years later, the name had changed to Eva B's Bakery and Cafe. They still specialized in kolaches; that's an Eva B's poppy seed kolache pictured above. We were just alerted by Ralph Melton that Eva B's has apparently closed and, as far as we can tell, he is correct. We don't know when, or why. Anyone have any info? We'll take the review down tomorrow.
