The long-anticipated arrival of Shake Shack in Massachusetts took place a little over a week ago (see the Roadfood.com review of the original New York City Shake Shack). A quick scan of the Chestnut Hill menu turned up a couple of Beantown-centric concretes: Revere's Tracks combines vanilla custard with a cheesecake blondie, peanut butter sauce, and chocolate sprinkles. Lobstah Shell sounds intriguing: the vanilla custard gets dosed with lobster tail pastry, strawberry puree, and ricotta cream. The restaurant at 49 Boylston Street is open 11-11.

They also serve a Vienna Beef Chicago style hot dog on a steamed poppy seed bun.
