Sunday was the last day of business for Mae's Phinney Ridge Cafe of Seattle, WA (see the review, which we'll archive tomorrow). Owner Jeanne Mae Barwick says she wants to leave the stressful restaurant business. While the place is up for sale, it hasn't yet sold, and in the meantime she is holding a garage sale this coming Saturday from 10 until 4. The Cafe goes back almost a hundred years; Ms. Barwick purchased it in 1988.
