Digest: True 'Cue
Posted by Michael Stern on Thursday, December 12, 2013 7:01 AM

Attention, lovers of authentic barbecue. Truecue.org is the website of The Campaign for Real Barbecue, honoring those places that do it the old-fashioned way. Their manifesto: We will especially celebrate barbecue cooked without any heat source other than wood or wood coals, by certifying and promoting businesses that produce it. ... We think the world will be a better place when there is more real barbecue in it. Amen! (Pictured above: the woodpile at Stamey's in Greensboro, NC.)

1 Comments:

Ate at Stamey's today (I eat there a lot, actually; they have two locations). I live in Greensboro and today being rainy and cold was a perfect day for their Brunswick stew and a chopped sandwich!
