Winter like we're having makes me yearn for comfort food, like the fine bowl of cheese-topped chili pictured above with a hunk of cornbread, which I ate yesterday at Hidden Valley Eatery in Washington, Connecticut. I don't know their recipe, but here is a link to a good, basic, no-bean chili that's good when craving wintertime warmth.
