Even if you’ve never been to Randy’s Donuts, you’ve probably seen it before. A favorite location for movies and TV shows that want a background of extreme roadside kitsch, Randy’s is one of a couple of gigantic donuts that loom up in the L.A. area. The varieties of donut include the basic (and best) honey glazed regular, chocolate-covered, jelly-filled, powdered, frosted, and filled with crème.

24 hours a day, 7 days a week, Du-Par's in the Los Angeles Farmer's Market is a fantastic destination for a snack, a stack of pancakes, or a chicken pot pie.

This vintage Jewish deli is kosher-style, not kosher, meaning you can have potato pancakes with sour cream alongside your excellent corned beef sandwich. Rye bread is superb, soups are motherly. Canter's is open 'round the clock.
