A gentleman just phoned me from Sabretts(not kidding here)and explained that THEIR hot dog packages are weighed by the pound. You can get Sabretts in packages anywhere from 3 dogs to a lb to 13 to a lb, including 8 to a lb. The only purpose of a bun is to "carry" the hot dog in his opinion...

Very interesting. Not to make light of accents, but, this man called me from South Florida, around the Ft. Lauderdale area. He must have moved her from the North as he pronounced frankfurter, "frankfooter". Quite charming really.
