10 most likely to file bankruptcy in 2011

The list of restaurant in order of most at risk to file for bankruptcy (limited to those with a market capitalization of $100 million): 1. Denny’s 2. Wendy’s/Arby’s 3. Morton’s Restaurant Group (Morton's Steakhouse) 4. DineEquity (IHOP, Applebee’s) 5. Domino’s Pizza 6. Bravo Brio Restaurant Group 7. McCormick & Schmick’s 8. Ruth’s Hospitality Group (Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Mitchell’s Fish Market) 9. O’Charley’s 10. Einstein Noah Restaurant Group (Einstein Bros Bagels, Noah's Bagels, Manhattan Bagel) http://www.abcactionnews....ankruptcy1309574048690 Of course we know filing bankruptcy doesn't necessarily mean shutting the doors. Arby's however wouldn't surprise me.

Well Arby's was sold today so I guess they're off the hook for now.

#6. Brio/Bravo -We have a Brio near us and we like it. Good Food, service and nice ambiance. reasonable prices. The BBRG just went public last year. Should have some $$$ for a while.

Only four on the list are anywhere near me, unless Wendy's/Arby's counts for two. I'd be sad to see I-Hop go, though, especially since we just lost Perkins. It's getting harder to find anywhere to get breakfast 24/7.

Slowly but surely all the Denny's I pass by are being boarded up.

ChrisOC Slowly but surely all the Denny's I pass by are being boarded up. Interesting. I'm not a customer, but the one about a half mile from my house seems to always be quite busy.

Denny's signed a deal earlier this year with Pilot Truck Stops to operate restaurants in their locations. They did open up at a Pilot nearby a few months back. This seems like an ideal spot for them.

Denny's can go, they're nasty but if O'Charlie's tanks I'll be sad.

We used to live in Tennessee which is the corporate home of O'Charley's. I remember several newspaper articles about their financial problems a couple of years ago. We had one in Kingsport and ate there several times. Didn't really seem to have much of an identity or personality. Food wasn't bad just not that great.

Ruth's Chris Steakhouse can go. That place has been overcharging for years. $52 for $18 worth of meat. It's cooked well, but seasoned horribly.
