11 herbs and spices, baby!

So, what do you all think Col. Sanders put in his recipe? I just read an article about the tight security surrounding the original recipe. I can't believe after all these years noone has figured it out. I'd think you'd have to think like him. What was available to him back then? What would his mother, aunt have used in their chicken that would have infleunced him?
I'd start with guessing salt and pepper LOL

Based on the taste of KFC these days, I would guess that the 11 "secret" herbs abd spices are:
salt, salt, salt, salt, salt, salt, salt, salt, salt, pepper, and salt
