All these people in Michigan are brainwashed by these taxes and say that theres a good reason for them. No there is not, there is no excuse for it. Hey Vic, drive to Westland, they got gas for $1.81 at the Sunoco!

Funny, Lisa, even though you live in Alaska you've mastered the Michigan accent. I just love how they call each other, "floks". LOL

Mabey some of you older floks remember when Brainwashing was a fairly common activity in Michigan back in the '60's? Does the name George Romney ring a scrubbing bell? Yeah those weekend Brainwashes used to be major fundraisers for a lot of high school groups. After a day of scrubbing those floks would havta go to Ohio to get gas. Well nowadaze your gonna be able to go to Waffle House and get gas...that's real progress, u betcha!

Waffle- According to your profile, you live in Waterford. How can it make sense to drive to Ohio to gas up? Seems to me you'd spend more getting there than you save, not just in gas, but in time! I was thinking you lived in Monroe or Luna Pier or something!

Heck, even if you lived in Monroe, wouldn't it still be idiotic to drive to OH & back, to save a couple bucks ?

Gas is a $1.81 in Westland in Wayne County, $1.95 in Flat Rock In wayne County, and Most Monroe County stations are a $1.95. Its $2.25 at the BP by my House.

I think all these floks raggin Michigan should be subject to live up here for a few months! Ya all would understand what weez griping about! But seriously, this state has gone out of control. And if you have to drive an hour or so south to cross the border into either Indiana or Ohio, the savings well make up for your time! Everytime you turn around in this state, there's an extra tax on this or that, millages keep popping up, it just dont stop anymore. Try to rent a U-haul up here! More people leaving the state, taking them one way that there's a serious shortage on them... It's a beautifull state, but since Engler (who moved out of state after he left as governor) and Granholm have hacked it to death, there's not much positive left to say...

What's wrong with Michigan? I hunt and fish there often. It's a great place, and the only state with official two-tracks.

I love my town, but I'm moving to GA after I sell my house! The cost of living is just too high here in TC. Gas is $2.20 here, but over in Alpena today, I paid $2.16!

I wonder whatever happened to those plans to put Waffle House in Michigan? Nearest ones are still in Toledo. It's just like with Chick-Fil-A -- they got to Toledo then stopped, never even bothering to set foot in Michigan. (Dillard's department store did the same *#@$! thing, actually.) Also, I should point out that there is already a Waffle House in Michigan. It's in Watervliet (west of Kalamazoo, specifically). No relation to the Waffle House chain, it's just called "Waffle House of America", and it's oh so obviously a former Horne's.
