Food & Retail Vendor Information

We appreciate your interest in applying to be a food or retail vendor at the Country Music Festival, Log Jam Fest 2010 held in northern Wisconsin (Price County). Enclosed you will find preliminary data concerning the vendor requirements as well as an application for participation. Please read the information carefully before completing the application. Log Jam Fest will issue invitations based on the information provided in the application. Incomplete applications will not be considered. All applications must be hand delivered, emailed or submitted by US Mail or express mail service (i.e. Fed Ex, UPS, etc.) to the address below. The deadline for retail vendor applications is May 31st 2010. Vendor space locations will be assigned based on date application was received.

All food vendors interested in participating in the 2010 Festival must submit a completed application form, a proposed list of items to be sold, a layout of their area including width and depth, and a picture (photo) of their booth and/or trailer by the application deadline; application and photos may be submitted electronically.

Event Date & Hours of Operation: will be held on July 30th, 31st & August 1st 2010 at the County Fairgrounds in Phillips, WI. The event is held rain or shine. Estimated attendance is 20,000. On event day, vendors are expected to be open, staffed and ready for business when the gates open and to operate continuously until the end of the event day. Vendors are not permitted to close early.

Selection Criteria and Process:
Selections will be based on several criteria. These include, but are not limited to: quality, value and uniqueness of proposed items to be sold, and the level of professionalism exhibited by signage, equipment and set-up, and local or regional representation. The appearance of your vending operation is highly important. Vendors will be notified of their selection status via phone or US Mail within 30 days of application.

Vendor Fees:
Selected vendors will be required to pay a participation fee. Vendor fees are based on total space required for vending.
Participation Fee:
$750 per 15 x 15 ($3.00 extra per additional linear foot)
Extra depth available upon request
Electricity: $35/ basic electrical connection
Clean Up Deposit: $250

Product Exclusivity:
Vendors interested in selling particular items exclusively should contact Events@astarnow.com to discuss available options. Vendors granted exclusivity for a particular item will pay a higher rate or a possible fee plus commission, to be negotiated on an individual basis.

Vendor Badges:
Each vendor is provided a number of admission badges for employees. Vendors will receive 2 badges per 15 x 15 rental space.

Permits and Licenses:
Participating food vendors are expected to comply with all rules and regulations of the Price County Sheriff’s Office, Phillips Fire Department, Price County Division of Environmental Health and any other governing authorities’ rules and regulations which might apply.

Additional Requirements and Regulations:

• All vendor prices must include sales tax. Log Jam Fest is not responsible for the collection or distribution of any sales taxes on items to be sold by vendor.

• Participating vendors will be required to furnish to Log Jam Fest a certificate of
insurance evidencing a minimum $1,000,000 combined single limit general liability coverage naming Log Jam Fest, LLC as additionally insured. Proof of automobile and Workers’ Compensation coverage with minimum coverage of $100,000 combined single limit is required as well.

• Vendors must order reasonable electrical service directly from Log Jam Fest.

Vendors are prohibited from bringing their own generators on-site. Additional electrical service will be provided at a reasonable rate to be announced to the participating vendors upon acceptance.
• All participating vendors must display professional looking signage.

• Vendors will not be allowed to sell, give away or consume alcoholic beverages.
• Retail vendors will not be allowed to sell any food or consumable items without written permission from Log Jam Fest.

• Use of the name “Log Jam Fest” or use of any of the names of performing artists or any variation thereof, on any signage, Tshirts, printed materials, etc. will not be allowed without written permission from Log Jam Fest.

• The solicitation and/or acceptance of tips by participating vendors and their employees is strictly prohibited. Vendors found to be soliciting and/or accepting tips will be fined $100 per incident, and/or closed and evicted from the event site.

    I can understand the no generator but not the no tip rule.

    Usually generators below a certain db rating are allowed, but some events allow none.  I hate to be 100% dependent on supplied electricity at any event,  Always good to have a back-up.

    we have done events though where the trailer next to us had a generator and you couldn't hear a thing the customer said when ordering. you herd that generator everywhere. very annoying.
