CajunKing TOLEDO WAS ROBBED!!!!!!!!! Yes and no. Yes, the PAT should not have been counted. But if had been a 2 point game, the defense package for SU would have been different. It was clear the SU defense was set up to avoid a TD, and played soft for short gains, something they would not have done if it was a 2 point game. So, the play calling on both sides of the ball, would have been different. Did it suck? yes. Robbed? I don't know. Anyone who goes for the tie at the end, instead of an outright win, gets what ever they deserve in overtime.

Imagine my surprise to learn that the fine folks at the Allstate Sugar Bowl would be receiving public subsidies and tax free status while paying large executive salaries and giving gifts to the only people who are asked to oversee the operation. The Sugar Bowl also deserves credit for nearly 1% of its revenues to charity. This is just shocking to learn that something like this could happen to the good folks of New Orleans, Louisiana.

Jock Talk Radio in AZ has Chris Peterson, Head Coach at Smurf U, as the likely candidate to replace Mike Stoops at Unv of AZ. He has ties to the AZ AD. Both were at Oregon at the same time---We'll see what happens. Other names mentioned include Mike Leach and Jim"I know nothing" Tressel among others.

I wonder how Oregon will do without LaMichael James? It is a wonder he only dislocated his arm coming down on it like that, I thought for sure it was snapped into a million little pieces. OK State vs TX AZ State vs Oregon Baylor vs Tx A&M FL vs Auburn Should be a good week to watch some football!

Well never say never but It was reported that Chris Peterson turned down the University of Florida when they were looking last year. Maybe he feels differently about Arizona.

ces1948 Well never say never but It was reported that Chris Peterson turned down the University of Florida when they were looking last year. Maybe he feels differently about Arizona. Greg Byrne, the AD at the Univ of AZ, and Peterson worked together at the Univ of Oregon. Byrne has a reputation as a big fundraiser. He's only been there a year and is already bringing major bucks into the U of AZ programs. Could entice Peterson to join him. If Peterson's the coach, money will flow into Old Pueblo by the bucketful. The selling point is that Peterson would have a chance to win a National Championship there that he won't have a chance to do at Boise State. As good as Boise is, the big BCS boys aren't gonna let them play in their sandbox! We'll see just how good a salesman Byrne is in this situation.

I wonder how long South Carolina will be a Top 25 team now that Stephen Garcia's been booted from the team for good. With as many chances as he got it makes me think his middle name might be "Howe"... Brad

The B1G ten is down this year. Every team after Wisconsin looks sloppy, unprepared, or just plain bad. Penn State has a defense, Michigan and Illinois have an offense, and Michigan State and Nebraska look decent. Its October and I already feel like the whole conference is just going to get drilled when bowl season comes around. The Big 12 and SEC look light years ahead of whats going on in Big Ten country right now. Joe Pa and his staff are out of their minds for playing Bolden at quarterback. They gave him a scholarship, and he is getting outplayed by a walk-on. The coaches don't want to admit a mistake, or a failure in recruiting, and won't make McGloin the starter yet. When Penn State gets a new coaching staff, and Ohio State replaces Luke Fickel and the last traces of the Tressel regime, it could change the face of the B1G Ten. That is, if the schools make good hires.

The Drake Bulldogs or San Diego Toreros could easily beat Minnesota this year. For years B1G Ten fans have watched Adam Weber dink and dunk his way to countless Minnesota Golden Gopher career passing records. Fans always wondered, how could this kid be starting for so long while playing so badly? After seeing Marqueis Gray struggle against the mighty New Mexico State Aggies, we finally understand. Gray was the elusive dual-threat playmaker coming out of high school with multiple offers from second-tier B1G Ten schools. He was a big recruiting "get" for the Brewster Regime ranked as the best player in Indiana and third best mobile quarterback in his class. Three years later, Gray had a front row seat to watch another Golden Gopher quarterback struggle and ultimately fail against the fearsome defense of the North Dakota State Bison. Coach Kill could be the right guy in Minnesota, but he has a lot of dead weight to get rid of from the past regime. Indiana has a bright new coach who may be the right fit for their job, but right now the team is awful. Purdue is stuck Danny Hope for at least another year. The Boilermakers seem to have just settled near the bottom of the B1G Ten for the foreseeable future.

Okay, let's look at Division II. Delta State Univ. (Cleveland, MS) is number ONE. Hooray for the Fighting Okra. I graduated from Delta State and did my grad work there. Great little school!

In my teens, (I'm 71 now) my Uncle, John Egli, was the head Basketball Coach at PSU back in the late 50's, and 60's. I've been at my Uncle's house when JoePa was Rip Engle's Asst. and he would come to my Uncle's house to get a meal when he was broke. Needless to say, I've been a PSU fan all my life. I can't begin to tell you how sad and sickening this ordeal has made me feel - Disgust, Disappointment, Anger, Heartbroken, Hopelessness and many other emotions. I can't understand WHY Joe didn't do more to get it stopped. As hard as it will be to hear, I just hope Joe comes forward with the whole truthful story. I'm just sick.

In between TD's at the Rose Bowl, I'm thinking that it's time that Oregon consults with those folks at What Not To Wear.

Well, the "ugly" uniforms won yesterday and the milquetoast white uniforms lost. Maybe it gave them the edge in attitude.

Milquetoast? Really, Davydd? We are proud of our red and white, and with class commended Oregon on a wonderful game. The better team won. We Wisconsin fans saw that. So why the negative comments about The Badgers? You too, Foodbme. Why not accept the win of your favored team with grace?
