2nd Hot Dog Cart

I have a second cart that we dont use and was thinking about either hiring a person to run it or to lease it to someone. I like the lease idea the best but if I did would I be the one to have the cart inspected or would the leasee? Is there anyone in here with any knowledge or experience in this?

Why not just hire some college student/nephew in need of a job/retired guy like me--and set up a 2nd location?

Well I really didnt want anyone working for me. If I lease it I am always going to get my money but nothing is set in stone yet.

Drop the cart off here in Michigan... I'll work it for ya!

Leasing your cart would be similar to leasing a car. If you lease a car, you pay for the license, registration, and insurance. Your leasing a piece of equipment, not franchising your business. The person leasing your cart has to jump through all the legal hoops to be a vendor.

I tried leasing my other cart two different times.I carried all ins.,lic. ect.What a nightmare.There is the constant worry of them not passing inspections or trying to sell product not allowed by health dept.I could'nt sleep at night thinking they would end up burning themselves and suing me.Too many headaches.My second cart was the best thing I ever parted with.
