I'm looking for help in finding different ways of using Ground Beef. I had two of my cows processed this week and I now have 600 lbs of ground beef to put on my weekly special menu. Any ideas from the Roadfood gang of new or old favorite entrees...............Thanks for the help...................pnwc

Six hundred, eh? That might make a fair-sized meatloaf. Of course, you;d need to slaughter a few hogs to get enough bacon for the top.

You know, someone might just think you were involved in some sort of commercial operation. Maybe a place to eat? Oh, yeah, and I'm sorry about waking Chewy.

There's a debate on what this stuff is called: American Chop Suey, American Goulash, Slumgullion or garbage special. Comfort food should be a good sell and it's easy to make.

And Johnny Marzetti. Don't forget Johnny Marzetti, named for the brother of the woman who owned Marzetti's Restaurant in Columbus, Ohio. Same family that makes and markets Marzetti dressings.

Royalties... what a nice idea. Nope, I don't want to lose my unemployment check. Seems I didn't fill in the last form correctly... no check for over two weeks!

West Virginia hot dog chili!! I would take about 5 pounds of ground beef & make a big batch of hot dog chili & then freeze it in quart size containers for upcoming wiener roast season.

Bacon Cheeseburger Pasta To make it go even quicker, DO NOT cook the bacon yourself; get a jar of Hormel Bacon Bits (glass jar with black label over by the croutons & salad dressing) and throw the whole thing in there. 8 ounces uncooked penne pasta (or smaller noodles, rotini works nicely; if you use the wheat noodles, cook them for the longest time possible) 1 pound ground beef 6 bacon strips, diced (takes too much time, use a jar or 2 of the Hormel bacon bits) 1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed tomato soup, undiluted 1 cup (4 ounces) shredded cheddar cheese Barbecue sauce and prepared mustard, optional Cook pasta according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain and set aside. In the same skillet, cook bacon until crisp; remove with a slotted spoon to paper towels. Discard drippings. Drain pasta; add to the skillet. Stir in the soup, beef and bacon; heat through. Sprinkle with cheese; cover and cook until the cheese is melted. Serve with barbecue sauce and mustard if desired. Yield: 4-6 servings.

Nana & Grammy’s Pasty’s 2 refrigerated pie crusts (or make your own, Martha) 1 pound cheapest fattiest ground beef you can find, browned with the onions, if not all veggies carrots, peeled & chopped up 1 onion, peeled & chopped up potatoes, peeled & chopped up optional: 1 rutabaga, peel & chopped up ^^ chop them small!!!! In a glass pie plate, bake for 20 minutes at 450 degrees F, then reduce heat to 350 degrees F and bake for forty minutes. Cool for at least fifteen minutes on the sheet before eating. Serve with ketchup, butter, or whatever turns you on.

Norwegian Pizza: 1 1/2 lbs ground beef cream of mushroom, celery, chicken or cheese soup 1 medium onion, chopped 1 bag tater tots Press RAW ground beef flat into a 9x13 pan, like you're making cookie bars. Sprinkle salt & pepper over meat, sprinkle onions over that. Spread undiluted soup over that, put tater tots in rows over that. Bake @ 350 for 90 minutes. Cut along the tater tots for your pieces, and eat with a fork, this pizza. If you use cheese soup, it tastes like cheeseburgers & fries.
