I saw that yesterday. I don't think he's the sharpest tool in the shed.

Quote from the article: As for the sandwiches, Peterson instructed officers to throw them in the garbage. This was probably a stupid move, since it will probably be hard for him to enter an insanity plea after doing something so sane.

That stuff really bugs emergency service workers. When I used to be a paramedic we'd get calls like that. One noteworthy one was a call at 3 in the morning to mediate a dispute between an elderly Jewish couple. It seems the man refused to eat the chicken sandwich his wife had made for him ... so finally at 3am she'd had enough. Her: "There's something wrong wit him ... he always looves my chicken sandwich ... their deelishious." Him: "Tfeh! If you want the chicken sandwich then YOU eat the chicken sandwich ... I don't want a chicken sandwich today ... maybe I won't want one tomorrow either ... ... ... " We got way too many calls like that.

Wow, people are unbelievable. 911 calls should only be made to alert the authorities when there is a physical emergency, or when someone uses ketchup on a hot dog.

I recall one time, I was in a FF place of some sort ... I ordered, they took my money ... after a few minutes, they tell me they were out of whatever I ordered, what else would I like? I have a pretty narrow tolerance at a FF joint, so I asked for my money back. A: Sorry, no refunds ... I didn't see the difference between this and any petty street theft and was ready to call 911. I didn't because of the wisdom of my years ... I left without anything, or my money ... I'm sure they learned a lesson that this kind of petty theft pays.
