I just found this terrific (mostly NYC) pizza site. Read the very amusing GOPIZZA section on GOP convention pizza etiquette for New Yorkers: http://www.sliceny.com/

A very, very nice review of a roadtrip to New Haven for pizza has been recently posted on this site. Part 1 of 2 :-) Lots of good/yummy pics, as well, particularly via the Tien Mao link at the bottom of the triplog. http://www.sliceny.com/archives/000474.php

quote: PizzaBill... Enjoyed your site very much... Was intresting reading your new learning experiences before and after college. I just had one question, I'm guessing when you call for a large can of Tomato Puree, you talking about those 28oz. cans? (I personally consider a #10 can as large)

Well it is about time that there is a website devoted to NY Pizza and one that puts all the other types (not because of geography but because of taste) in their place. "If you like Dominoes Pizza, go to some other website." That is what I like to read. I love food and NY Pizza is my favorite food.

I am very imprssed with this website so far and it is clear it is still in it's infancy, more or less. I was also impressed that they gave New Haven pizza a fair shot and did not take the party line, ie "well, it ain't NY pizza". The New Haven pizza pics are, well....how far is it from Cincinnati to New Haven again?

Uncle Vic: I understand the dilemma, but I still think we should try to have a Roadfooders meet in New Haven. I hear the Sterns have an in with Pepe's. Pizza in New Haven for all of us would be the Roadfood mecca to me.

I'll be Southern Indiana for the next couple weeks, maybe if I beat the GPS Gizmo enough it will steer me towards New Haven!
