doggydaddy' Here in Maryland, we can buy fresh crab. There is a difference in taste in the crabmeat that is fresh and the crab that has been processed. Also, the next time that you buy crabmeat, take note of the small print and I think that you will find that the crabmeat you are buying is actually from another country, although it may be processed in Maryland.

greymo - although, even in MD it depends on the season. Sometimes even Bay people are eating NC crabs. But, I wholeheartedly agree, there is nothing like a crabshack on the water in MD. It simply can't be duplicated elsewhere. Some of the best ones are most easily found by boat - by car, it easy to get lost on the back roads!
