I really need to call the farm I used to get my free range chickens from and get back on their list...its over an hour round trip...but its worth it..Unfortunately their grass fed beef sucks..

That is why you always need to wash produce well before eating it, especially if you are not cooking it! (Think about all the critters of all sizes that might come in contact with it in the field.)

Aside from taste, I believe that is why we cook food and wash salads.
