I like the meaty flavor of Khans. I just dont like beef franks for some reason. maybe because I never had one as a kid(wait a sec, were vendors Vienna's beef?) Reading about how good nathans were(here) we dound a special of all beef at 2/$4. I just dont like the flavor. I even prefer turkey over beef. bitt

How does it compare to Nathan's? I haven't seen Armour products in Philly.

I prefer Nathan's though I have to ask for them from the grocer. They do tend to carry the skinless, but I like the natural casings.

I'm still searching. I had a couple of Ballparks last night--almost inedible. Rubbery and tasteles. The Nathan's I had a few weeks ago were very salty. They demanded lots of fixin's--not necessarily a bad thing, but then it's difficult to taste the dog. I've enjoyed Hebrew National several times, but I still find something missing. Built too thin I think. I'm not far from Chicago, were I'm told Vienna dogs are king. Do the have a retail version?

Hebrew National's are pretty good..so are Nathan's..but most national dogs don't compare to the quality and "class" that goes into a Schickhaus or a Thumann's!!!

I favor the Kunzler brand skinless beef and pork for a (semi) mass market dog. Out of PA, so they may only be a mid-Atlantic brand.
