A sleeper chain, Baker's of Calif's Inland Empire

Baker's Drive thru have been a favorite among Inland Empire residents and visitors since the mid-1950s, they are known for both burger related fast food and Cal Mex, they do both well, a rarity. For those whom may not know, the Inland Empire is the eastern region of Metro Los Angeles, San Bernadino, Riverside, Corona, Moreno Valley, Apple Valley and onwards to the high and low deserts areas. Their burgers n fries are a grade under In N Out but nevertheless above average. Many times when I venture out to the Inalnd Empire, I'll have a breakfast or lunch stop at a Baker's.

We had a Baker's in Hesperia when I lived on the High Desert. I would rank it above BK and the Arches, Even with 5 Guys, and under In-n-Out and Culver's. Farmer Boys makes some good Burgers in that area also !

Baker's is from my home town area. They are famous for having two separate kitchens, one for American food and one for Mexican food. You thought Dave Thomas at Wendy's came up with that idea (with one kitchen for the drive through and one for walk ups). Baker's came up with that idea in the 1950s. I miss Baker's. They have the best burritos for not much money. (Green Burrito is better, but they cost more.)

I don't know how long you've been in the Pilipines, but Green Burrito is not as good as they used to be, about 10 years ago Carl's Jr bought them as like with all franchises they drop a notch or two in quality. Heck, I remember back in the 1980s when there were only 2 or 3 Green Burritos in the Long Beach area.

Baker's is great. I love to get mexican food and american food in the same place. Too bad they are only in the SB and desert areas. I love their egg taco breakfast.

Another Inland Empire(Califas) chain of note with tasty burgers, breakfast items, good sandwiches and dynamite shakes and fresh juices is Farmer's Boys. recently they have expanded into many areas outside of the Inalnd Empire. I am sure there is a thread about them somewhere in this forum as well as they having their own website. Next time you're out and about and se one of them, try them, since you're a Baker's fan like I am then i know you'll enjoy Farmer's Boys too. "Some folks eat to live, others live to eat"

I'm just happy to live in a town with a Farmer Boys and a Baker's close by for those times I need to get my fast food freak on.
