Thanks, Kozel. I haven't been able to find out for sure myself. Aldi had a hiring session held at the Marriott at LaGuardia Airport, but that yields no info. I am familiar with that Waldbaums in Douglaston, but it is probably still open and is much too big for the typical Aldi. An Aldi is roughly the size of an old Bohack. On this forum, they are guessing Atlas Terminal:

There are some excellent buys there, if you look around.  They have the best prices on many things, even cheaper than Walmart.   The produce prices can also be quite low, and the quality the same as at your regular market.

I don't go there every week, but make a couple stops a month.

Interesting - they are going into that multistory shopping center being built on the site of the old Alexander's parking lot adjacent to the Long Island Expressway. You will have to pay to park there, unless they give out parking vouchers. They have enough apartment houses in the vicinity so that people with shopping carts can walk in for their groceries.

Aldi's is awesome for basic stock goods.  Sugar, flour, pasta, basic sauces, frozen fruit and veges, even in-season produce.

You won't find anything exotic, but for your core pantry items - the prices can be amazingly cheap.

I'm a bit of a food snob but I'll still dive into Aldi's because you never know just what you'll score at insanely low prices.
