A&W Root Beer

I've noticed that the A&W in the brown bottles taste very different and much better than in the clear bottles or cans. It seems to taste like a fresh draft Rootbeer. Has anybody else noticed it?

Nope... I quit buying it a decade or so ago when the bottled flavor went south.

We get the brown bottles here. They are definitely better flavored than the clear.

I agree, if I'm goint to buy A&W root beer then I buy the brown bottle. Their diet root beer is very good. A lot of times I can catch a carton (6 pack) on sale for $2.50 and almost always $2.50 at Wal-Mart. We have a A&W here (food is awful) but every once in a while I'll go buy and get a root beer in the frosted mug. Can't beat this on a hot day (and boy are we having hot days - 105 deg. expected today).
