The second comment to that article, posted an hour after it was published, was:
"She will be gone by the end of the week. LOL"

The whole thing smacks of a publicity stunt. Part of the new goal of seeming like just regular folks. As if schultz could care less what the workers think. He is a money guy that just went overboard in so many ways.

seems that any company that grows just for the sake of growth always goes down in flames.

Never understood the thrill of all that latte mocha double shot with a half twist of snot coffee to start with.

actually, starbucks does use really good beans (i know people who work there, and have given me some green beans for testing purposes..    )

the problem is that they char everything because they always assume that the coffee will be mixed with milk (the char roast does bring out the flavor, the milk is supposed to hide the bitterness)....... as a result, anything served without milk is burnt and bitter.

i've never called it starbucks. to me, it's starburnt........

Well, I am not a huge fan of Starbucks coffee because it is fairly mediocre although usually fairly consistent. However, in my opinion, their coffee is not burnt at all. Many coffee brewers go for a much more burnt taste.(in this area Peets and Wolf for example)  It is just a style really.
