Ahh the thrill of "Real" Baseball

I am a fan of vintage/heritage baseball, teams playing 1860 or 1869 rules. http://www.cincinnatibuckeyes.com/ or http://www.1869reds.com/ These are the two Cincinnati teams, it is awesome to get out there and watch these guys. A good friend of mine Mark "Spider" Stenger plays for the Buckeyes, and part time for the Red Stockings. It is fun to watch them play without the benefit of gloves, and playing the vintage rules too. If you want a fun weekend thing to do, search to see if your area has a vintage/heritage baseball team and get out there and support your local team. http://wiki.vbba.org/index.php/Members/Clubs

These are great games. I saw a couple of games at Stan Hywet Hall in Akron,Ohio about a decade ago. Also there is an annual game at Fort Vancouver, Washington which is played under 1860 baseball rules. It is a lot of fun to watch .
