He did good in his life. I was only at Langer's once -- unfortunately for breakfast and wasn't ready for the specialty of the house.

I'm glad he got to live a nice long life, till 94. "he died of complications of old age", the obit says... I like the wording on that ,as it encompasses anything we want it to. I'm also glad that the street will renamed in his honor. And Langers rye bread is the best I've ever had... RIP, Al Langer...

One poster (Corn Fed) said Langer's has the best pastrami in the country. Just wondering if that means it's been judged against Katz's and the Carnegie...........I've heard about Langer's, but never been there. Been to Nate and Al's; does not compare to the best of NY's delis IMHO.

Can't beat the Carnegie in NY , (and Harold's Deli in Edison, NJ) Everyone is certainly entitled to their own opinions. That's what makes this website what it is.
