Moe's truck on Grafton St in Worcester, Mass and Hot Dog Annies in Leicester, Mass. You can find info on both if dig around on this site. If I am ever in their area, I want to try CSD and Cowboy Bob. Welcome to Roadfood.

The hot dog forum which is miles long will give your thousands of suggestions. Keep diggin and I am sure you will find something you will like unless you live in Knoxville, TN. There are no good hot dog places here.

Amazing Hot Dog in Verona NJ is new to the hot dog scene. Great juicy, extra large hot dogs with a wide variety of toppings. My favorites are the My Schmiero -- a bacon wrapped dog with cream cheese and Scallions. The combo doesn't sound like it should work, but it really, really does. And the Jersey Breakfast -- a bacon wrapped dog on a bed of Fried Egg and Melted American Cheese. The french fries are fantastic too.

          Hello All,
In Harrisonburg, Va., there is only one hot dog joint for me, Jesse's Quick Lunch.
The dogs are spicy enough that I eat them plain, with a side order of great fries.
Most people love the chili dogs.
          Take Care,
          Fieldthistle

Hey, my 800th post. My favorite hot dog "joint" is Nick Tahoe's original place at West Main and Broad streets in Rochester, NY. I would have to say my favorite hot dog is a kosher Hebrew National, although Zweigel's white hots and Hoffman's white hots run a close second.

I don't know, ohman. I was headed out the door yesterday to see him for lunch (I close at 1 on Fridays), when customers started coming in and the phone started ringing. When I came up for air, it was time for supper. Those who know me know that I can afford to miss a meal.

Thats too funny, I agree with you about Moe's food though, I miss eating there. Moe is a pretty cool guy. Did the family take over Bob's out at West Boylston?

I did get there yesterday. I am happy to report that it is the same truck and same Moe. He was doing good yesterday considering that it was the end of January in Massachusetts. It was warm enough to eat outside at the picnic table. He still offers 2 grilled Kayem Dogs on grilled split top buns, chips and a soda for $3.50, but I paid an extra buck and got an extra dog, his new "hungryman special". If I knew how to post them, I should take pictures.

Hey Fieldthistle. I travel through Harrisonburg via I-81 when I go to and from visiting my parents in southern Virginia. Can you provide an address for Jesse's Quick Lunch in case I can't find it in the online white/yellow pages for Harrisonburg? I might give it a try the next time I go through there.

That sounds liek it would absolutely work! Actually Spike's Junkyard Dog (in Allston, MA [part of Boston] and some RI locations) does a dog just like this but with cheddar rather than cream cheese and it's delicious.

                                Hi,
Well my favorite was Dog & Suds. They have since closed our store. But they had good dogs, Great,(and might I say), wonderful looking ladies that brought your food to you on one of those window hugging trays. Thier own label root beer was served to you in huge frosted glass mugs. Those mugs were very heavy. Drinking the root beer was an experience. But the root beer and the dogs perfectly complemented eachother. Good memories.
