Does anyone own one of these things? We love ours for doing a lot of different things. Its a healthier way of making breaded stuff than deep frying and the stuff turns out wonderful. Made brat patties in it with good results. Dad made bacon one day and it turned out superb.

You mean that countertop one? We had one for a long time until we finally wore it out. I now have a Trivection wall oven that has thermal, microwave and convention, because I can't live without the convection part, for the reasons you mentioned--oven frying is the way to go, where you can. The only thing I didn't like about the little one is that it sounds like a jet plane taking off. But you get used to that.

I know. It does kind of sound like a jet doesnt it? We have one of the older ones 1995 to be exact. I wonder if the new ones are quieter? I know the new ones have features ours doesnt like an adjustable thermostat and a timer. Ours just has off/low/and high. I think its set at 375 degrees.
