DialIdol.com got it right with Carly Smithson getting the boot. The two foreigners, Michael Johns and Carly probably got the boot before their talent ranking time because they did not have an American fan base.
Syesha is a cookie cutter singer. Good voice. No distinctive personality. She is still in there maybe because she is the only minority left (which is kind of unusual) and has that fan base. She could end up on Broadway.
I thought at first Brooke had great talent and originality. However, she is becoming a nervous train wreck with the increased pressure and may have been run out of her comfort zone trying to stretch what she does well in different music venues.
Jason is still in because of the teeny bopper fan base. He is now way in over his head after doing what he does that is distinctly different than the others but with only with certain types of music. Andrew Lloyd Webber songs weren't meant to be sung in quiet coffee houses.
David A, the kid, has a great voice, obviously groomed, but is starting to boringly wear out sounding the same and looking the same no matter what he sings. He has the teeny boppers too.
David C is the most experienced with a decent voice and knows how to change up his arrangements and knows how to pick them. Unfortunately, he is average talent.
Bottom line. They said this was the most talented group going in at the beginning of the season. It may have been the most talented in overall average with few klinkers as in the past but they don't seem to have anyone standing out. It should be a final between the two Davids.
With that critique I now have to turn in my man card or quickly get back to watching NASCAR racing.
