Hello all ,

Ellen is right that it us not a picnic to organize and collect for these tours . I'm not involved with this getogehter but will be carpooling with Coney Idsland Lou and Hot Dog King from Upstate NY.

Good luck with the scheduling , collecting and organization whoever may do it for this one but it will not be I

Greetings All,
I can't commit to a shuttle bus.  I'm planning on attending, but I will be carpooling.

I'll check them out , Dog Boss...
I got a quote e-mailed to me today from the "TNT" company...
It was insane !! $625 + tip for a 21 seater bus for 5 hours !!
I wrote them back one word , and it was "OUCH" !!!

It looks like carpooling will probably be the way to go for this one; Roadfooders seem to be leaning towards it this time..
Here's a good idea for everyone : Bring your G.P.S. 's !!!!

The Hot Dog Tour is next month and I can't wait to see the caravan gathering.
Shortly I'll need an approximate number of who will be going so I can let the vendors know how much help they may need.
Also, the T-Shirts will cost $16.00 each (larger sizes extra) and what size you'll need. Even if your not able to go you can get a shirt. It could be a collectors item. I'll be ordering the shirts next Wednesday.

You can use Paypal or email me for an address johnsagi@sbcglobal.net
Thank you

Hello all ,

Good job Tony Bad , you are on top of things , just would not want someone to miss a post on the trip by looking at one thread and pertinent info endes up on the other . Kudos !!

Believe it or not I do not need a shirt with all those x 's on it  anymore . From 4x to plain ole XL
Depending on fabrix I may go 2 xl  for shrinkagew purposes , what about it Johnny Boy

Hi John Sagi, and all !!
Can we please get an update on what time we are "meating up" at the New England Hot Dog Company in Freehold ??!

One helpful hint , for those of you looking for the place; it is in the shopping center anchored by the BURLINGTON COAT FACTORY (dept. store)....you will also see the "WOW" (Work Out
World gym building)....  .........there is a big red brick bank building across the street...
(I say all this cuz it is often tough to find places on Rt. 9,  if you are just going by the address..  it's better to have landmarks !

JOHN SAGI : Do you want me to do a post on here listing all the addresses for the joints,
so everyone can plug them into their GPS's, or print them out from MAPQUEST.com,
/Google Maps...????
I would just need to know the order that we plan to go to each place...
and I would put it in a "new topic" on this thread, to make it easier for people to print..

AGREED !! (see my above post)
Ross & I both were able to get  the day off from work in the casino, & are looking forward to "meating up" with all of you !!  WHO'S IN ???  Do we have a "dirty dozen", about 12 of us??
We'll just carpool together in our little car, the 2 of us, unless someone has a van , & is willing....

The 1st place is just a few miles south of the Freehold Racetrack, ...along route 9 north..
in Burlington Coat Factory shopping center ....

I will work on posting the HOT DOG JOINT ADDRESSES on a SEPARATE FORUM, later on tonight , after work...

Thanks for putting up the schedule and getting this organized even though you've spent a lot of time working. I'm really  looking forward to this and as long as the traffic from the Baltimore area is okay I'll be at the first stop on time. If the traffic gets a little screwy I'll meet you at the next stop on the list.

When we meet we'll exchange phone numbers, so if anyone gets lost we'll get them to the next stop.

The Route is fairly easy and we're starting and ending on Route 9.

If you came from Parkway south the last stop is only a few miles away.

D A Barsch German Butcher Shop

Is the last stop, so if you want to take any meats home you won't have it sitting in the cooler all day.

I'll also have my chili at D A Barsch to go with their hot dogs.

See you all next saturday.

John

John and roadfooders,
I will be in Cambridge Mass, with my family over the weekend...something we weren't sure of 'til a few days ago, but I've known was likely for many weeks....that's why I didn't commit.....Wish I could be there with you all. Can't wait to see the report.....I go often to Boardwalk Hotdogs....noticed today some Neon-colored signs on the windows with weekly specials...Been to Zuka's too...great dogs...just wish they were a larger size......anyway, I'm interested in what you all think........Have a great time.....and enjoy!!
