Another Date to Remember
Sun, 10/10/10 10:45 AM

Just a quick reminder that Today, Sunday October 10th is sort of unique to numbers freaks around the world. Think.... 10/10/10 !!!!! My earliest recall of this sort of unique number sequence happened when my 7th grade teacher drew our attention to May 5, 1955 and challenged us to recall what we were doing on the day, that was recorded as 5/5/55. I do recall being in a college class in Salem, Mass. on 6/6/66, don't recal the 7's and 8's. I did mention it to my class on 9/9/99, my last year of teaching. Funny how something like this seems to be recalled when I can't remember so many birthdays for others !!!

Actually at 10 minutes and 10 seconds after 10:00AM, it would be 10-10-10-10-10. I celebrated with a early glass of red wine. I have way too much time on my mind. Paul E. Smith Knoxville, TN

Now, I'm making planes to celebrate the next two ... 11-11, etc. and 12-12, etc. I don't expect to be around for 13-13, etc.

Today is Mrs. Roadhouse's birthday. We celebrated by meeting abe_froeman and Mr. Maki at a favorite local diner for wheatcakes, French toast, sausages, ham-off-the-bone, corned beef hash, and a Denver omelet (between the four of us, that is). Then Mrs. R headed off to Milwaukee with daughter abe for a Gumbo Fest. I believe they'll be meeting irisarbor (and family) and X1 up there for the event, followed by a trip to Kopp's for frozen custard. Not a bad way to turn 39...again. Happy Birthday darlin', Yer lovin' husband Buddy
