My grandson would love it. He'd probably love about four of them -- as long as he had something else to eat to fill him up. Enjoying something from Taco Bell for me has always (with no apologies to Hillary Clinton)  required a willing suspension of disbelief as to the connection to anything Mexican.

    Taco Belch... good one Chewer!

Anything that does not contain their revised taco meat recipe is a better menu choice I think. That is not saying that there is a good menu choice. But... I have not tried everything.

yeah, I'm with MH on this one. Taco Bell isn't Mexican - or Texican or another -ican. It's Taco Bell. If you sort of, as MH says, go there with "a willing suspension of disbelief as the the connection to anything Mexican," not everything is awful. This thing doesn't seem to do it for me...but I'm not a big fan of the deep fried tortilla shell, so I was a "no" right from the start on this.

I hated the Chalupa when it first came out.  After seeing the commercials for the XXL Chalupa, my son ran out and brought two home.  I can't say that I dislke the XXL twice as much, but it still has that greasy taste and feel to it!  But it does pack in the filling!

    Well put Score!

I used to like TB tacos back in tha 70s. a bag of those made a tasty snack. To bad they changed their taco meat recipe. Kinda reminds of of what Arby's did. Hmm, maybe someone could open up a place that sells old style fast food. Tacos like TB once made and roast beef like Arby"s used to make. Hey, I would make the stop!

I ate at a Taco Bell/KFC yesterday. It is in sort of a rural area, on the way to a hiking trail that I like. For $2 plus tax I got some phony Mexican product wrapped in a soft taco, a drink (free refills) and a bag of chips.  I've spent more for less. It may not have been Mexican, but it wasn't bad .

Shoot, I only fit one. No TB for me!

Anyone know when TB changed their meat recipe?

I made the mistake of thinking that these XXL Chalupas weren't going to really be as large as they claim.  So, I ordered two.  Big mistake.  I was definitely full after the first one.

I'm currently none of those...anymore, but every once in a while, I have to get some stomach ache in a bag from them.
