Any Good Food/Ethnic Fests in Chicago?

There must be some good Ethnic and or Food Festivals around Chicago in the summer. Greek, Armenian, Korean....? Are there any that you'd like to share with us here? The Summer calendar is filling up and I don't want to miss out this year. Taste of Chicago has some good food but it does get crowded. (I love Dock's Shrimp at T of C. I blow most of my tickets on their shrimp on a stick.)

The Chicago Tribune Sunday magazine today had 20 pages or so of things to do in Chicago and suburbs month by month throughout the summer. If you go to the attached website, they are there too. Our big one, Swedish Days in Geneva is coming up starting June 21 and is one of the festivals highlighted in the article. http://www.metromix.com

Personally TofC is now overrated , overpriced and overcrowded;but every Fri. in the Trib or Times there is usually alisting of local food fests not just neighborhood street fairs. I've been to Armenian,
Latvian, Greek, Irish,Lithuanian, Polish to name afew where the food is all cooked and served by tradition. Lots of Good Food at much better prices and quality.
Milwaukee also has a rich tradition of good local food fests

The Pierogi Fest in Whiting, In. is a great Polish/Slovak festival. Its not on a grand scale though it is a lot of fun with great food! I believe it starts on July 29th and runs through the 31st. Whiting is practically South Chicago so its not that far of a drive. Just Google Pierogi Fest and
Whiting and it should come up to the home page!

The Venetian Festival in St. Joseph, Michigan, Great Food, Great entertainment, Thursday Night Classic car show, Kid's games on the weekend, beach voleyball, and many, many more events http://www.venetian.org/taste.html
