Hi, I'm new here! I was just wondering if anyone from Wisconsin posted here? If so was it difficult to get started in the Italian Ice Biz here? We wanted to try and start one here(push cart biz) but it is so much involved it's making our heads spin. If you could tell us about your experience we'd really appreciate it. Thanks!:0)

I'm in the Italian Ice business but am in Virginia - not sure how much I can help you but let me know if you have any specific questions. Stephanie

I am in Madison and have been looking into the local laws. The regulations are different for downtown/library mall and some high congestion areas, nothing seems to restrictive, costs were high but i think manageable. My issue is that any thing larger than 12x10 is not allowed in the high congestion areas so a large food truck would be difficult here. I saw people making boat loads of money selling slushies at art fair on the square yesterday from a small stand. They had bananas, ice and syrup and were charging 6 bucks a cup for the stuff. You should look into that.
