Anyone hear from Ort Carlton?

Am I the only one to miss him? Where is he?

I really miss that man, from Athens GA!

Tom probably got him for freeloadin' at the UGA library again.

I offered him a free 'puter years back but he never took my offer up.

Apparently Ort. either got his library card taken away or his car Blanche just plain refused to move any more.

But we sure do miss Ort.!

Last I heard was that he was supposed to meet a fellow Roadfooder at some brew pub down there. Both have been conspicuousley absent since.
Maybe they ran off and are starting their own Roadfood nation, or at least trying.
Ort. probably found out that she had more to offer than a great 45 record collection.
Whatever their endevors may be, may they both be happy. Chow Jim

No, we haven't banned Ort from using our public computers here in the Library--he's still in good standing with us.

Speaking of 45s--one of our staffers brought in a bunch of old 45s and some albums for Ort to pick up about six weeks ago. There still is one box sitting here with Ort's name on it, so I'm not sure if he ever came in to claim this treasue trove.

Also got a report that he was spotted at the Copper Creek (local brewpub) about two weeks or so ago, so he was still around Athens as recently as that.

That's all I got on Ort sightings.

Maybe we should put his picture on the side of a keg of Old Frothingslosh.

I assume you are describing the "child on the Milk Carton" effort to locate lost or stolen kids?? Maybe that would work for ORT as well.

Let's try a couple of other "Calls" to see if we can bring him back to the Fold!

Ok, Ort fans--stop your worrying. My staff informs me he was in the library over the weekend and had been out of state at a week long beer festival in Tennessee. So he's ok, apparently just too busy to post to Roadfoods.

I just wish I could go to a week long beer festival...

I used to attend too many of those...many where I was the only attendee...or at least that is what they tell me. Now I only attend the one day festivals.

What's been going on is that I've been cleaning out the house slowly but surely, healing, coping with the clutter of five years' existence since my mother passed.
The library is on short hours due to Summer School, so my time online is limited. I want it that way; if I stayed on as long as I'd really like to, I'd never get anything I need to do done!
Right now, I'm at Mama's Boy, having just kissed Cooper's hand over her Chilled Cucumber Soup. This place still amazes me.
Even more amazing, I've been to Atlanta (not Tennessee), and have a plethora of new-to-me restaurants to tell y'all about. This will have to wait until time permits, but it will sooner than you might think.
They need their computer back now. Know that I'm thinking of y'all often and fondly, and that I'm not ignoring anyone. Network out that I'm doing just fine in 30601-land.
