Up in New Braunfels,Tx,just up the road from me,is a place I never heard of before the other day. It's called Steaks to Go,and is located in an old Rally's between the Adobe Cafe and another restaurant. I looked on the net,and it seems to be some kind of chain,so was wondering if anyone has tried it.May check it out next time I'm there.

There are a few ways to wind up with a bad steak. One is to start with poor-quality meat--like they use in chain restaurants. Another way is to let the steak sit for too long after cooking it. It sounds to me like this establishment may have hit a two-bagger!

I think I have heard of Burghers Smokehouse, will have to try it.Maybe I'll try it,not this weekend but next.Have you tried Davila's BBQ? They have one in Seguin, and now one in New Braunfels.I think Davila's is on Tx Hwy 46 or Loop337,will have to check their website. I'll have to pick up a menu from Steaks to Go.Yeah you could be right about the steak quality. I do like the steaks at Texas Roadhouse in Live Oak.I have had some good steak there, and they cooked it the way I like it.

Hey Lucky Labrador,I tried to find Burgher's Smokehouse at the New Braunfels Chamber of Commerce and the vistors guide, but no Burgher's Smokehouse listed.Where in New Braunfels is it? I may have been past it and the place never registered in my brain.

We have quite a few Steak Outs here that deliver steaks, steak tips, steak sandwiches, chicken sandwiches, hamburgers, plain and loaded baked potatoes and some desserts. They do a big business here. I work in an industrial park and between my company and plenty others they do a tremendous amout of business. I also order them for home delivery too. I always get the small order of steak tips and it comes with a baked potato and salad. Very good; even though as most deliveries they are a little pricy.

When I can find one (depending on what city I am in), I always order a large double order of the steak tips from Steak Out (medium rare). I have never been dissapointed. Also, I find it odd that Atlanta has none of these places.
