OK. It turned out that I did not get the breakfast shown in the first post on this subject. While the version I did get had the banner on the box proclaiming that there was one pound of food contained therein, the version I ended up with did not have eggs, bacon or ham. It did have sausage, it did have potatoes, and it did have pancakes. But, instead of eggs it had French toast.

The directions on the box for microwaving said the pancakes and sausage should be removed and the French toast and potatoes should be microwaved on high, with the plastic film covering them, for two minutes. Then, the pancakes and sausage were to be put back in the tray, covered with the plastic film, and the entire breakfast should be microwaved on high for an additional three minutes.

The pancakes were almost acceptable, for a frozen product. The French toast was similar to cardboard. The sausage was inedible, and the potatoes reminded me of the hash brown things at McDonald's, but not as delicious or oily -- which ought to provide some idea of how awful they were.

The only positive thing I can say about this thing is that it did make a delightful sound when introduced to the garbage disposal unit.

lol!!

Well, at least you gave it a try, even though it wasn't the exact same breakfast on the web site. You are braver than me.

I couldn't even eat Pancakes and French Toast in the same breakfast! That, to me is just overkill. Too bad the French Toast is garbage, but I know I could knock it out in the same time it takes to microwave that breakfast, and as I see the directions you typed, it would be easier too. (That mine would probably taste better goes without saying, but I said it anyway!!) (Hmm, French Toast, I think I know what I'm having for dinner!!)

If you have an Aldi's in your area, they sell the generic version of the Swanson (actually its now Aunt Jemima) pancakes and sausage breakfast for an incredibly cheap 99 cents (most stores sell the original for at LEAST $1.50 or more)..and amazingly, they are actually VERY good..three decent sized pancakes which do NOT come out of the micro hard with two pretty good sausages...an nice cheap FAST breakfast....the scrambled eggs with sausages AND a decent sized hash brown patty are also 99 cents..and is decent for frozen eggs...

It truly amazes me that so much good $$$ is spent on rank products simply because some advertising mecca says it is fit for human consumption. My cats have more sense than that...

Yeah they sell these at HEB in the frozen section along with all the other Swanson Hungry-Man dinners.I prefer breakfast tacos. You can make them with corn or flour tortillas. Then fill them with bacon and egg, potato and egg, refried beans and sausage, carne gusiada(mexican meat stew,no veggies in it) or your choice, even scrapple.

I saw that again in Wallyworld, and they only had the french toast and pancake one, not the breakfast with the eggs.
But I laugh everytime I see one, and think of Roadfood!

I used to work for a county sheriff's department, at a jail substation here in Arizona. We did not have the kitchen facilities like they did at the main jail, so we kept a freezer full of Swanson frozen meals and a range. We did not have the Hungryman 1 lb meals, but we did have what you would call TV breakfasts and dinners. There was a flap once, when the major ruled that the jailers could not eat the meals, because there were so many meals consumed one month. The local PD came unglued one night, when they showed up at the jail with three prisoners, and there was no jailer, as he had run down to a local 7-11 to buy his dinner. This incident, combined with an analysis of how many prisoners had been through the jail in the period specified, showed that the jailers were only eating a very minor amount of meals, as each one ate one meal per shift. The ruling was rescinded, and we resumed eating the same meals as the prisoners.

I bought two of these, and ate both for breakfast, one was too small.
