I use Amoroso code #910, which is their unsliced, 9 inch roll. I pay 48 cents per roll from USFoodservice, Swedesboro NJ. For my TOMMY B'S PHILLY CHEESE cheesesteaks, I am 100% satisfied with the Amoroso roll.

I got some samples last week, Just the roll I was looking for. Toasts up a bit crusty, has a bit of a chew to it, not a ton of bread, holds up well to sloppy ingredients such as chili or bbq sauce. US Foods and FSA have the 9" for .52ea ...... I think I have my Roll. Are you using them for dogs too? I was considering the 6" for my dogs.

chefbuba, currently i'm not doing dogs, only cheesesteaks i agree with your observation: "not a ton of bread, holds up well to sloppy ingredients" my amoroso rep, who is the national sales mgr bob rector, tells me they have a fantastic "italian hamburger roll" code #555..... i haven't tried it yet

we use 8" cost about a quarter. sometimes, i ahve problems with them. i have to toast them slightly otherwise they are too chewy. but great taste and great for chstks. i also use them for hoagies. thats where the prob. if someone orders a cold hoagie, they bread is less than desireable.

That is my concern, that the bread will become stale after only 1 day. I will have to be careful about how much I thaw, or offered toasted rolls for cold sands.
