buffetbuster db1105- Couldn't agree with you more! The best I have ever had is from the Cold Hollow Cider Mill in Vermont.
Midnights Yes, I make my own. I'm from northern Michigan and my fiancee is from Vermont. Both of those places are known for their apple cider donuts. The ones we used to get from the places we went as kids no longer stack up to the ones we used to get. I don't know if they have cut back on the amount of cider, or what. I found this recipe, and it's just like what we used to get when we were kids. Just remember to reduce the cider first, or it will have too much liquid. I did that the first time and had to make drop donuts instead of cutting them out of rolled dough (they still tasted good, but were a lot messier to make). http :// www . pumpkinpatchesandmore . org/apple_cider_doughnuts.php
