I have never had a sandwich in Iowa. I don't think I ever was in Iowa. But that is one fine looking sandwich. I have been disappointed in some of the pictures lately, especially of sandwichs that sure didn't make me want to bite into them. Pimento cheese on white bread----forgetaboutit. There were a few others on plain white Silvercup, or equal. Not very appealing. But the one today almost makes me want to hop a freight and head west.

Ayersians photo looked better than photos of the same sandwich taken by DavyDD, Buffetbuster, and myself. I did grab a pic of their onion rings, hand dipped with homemade special sauce:
