nocarolina,
If you're ever in the Rockford area you've gotta check out Beef-A-Roo. Everything on the menu is very good, they even have "real" deep fried onion rings, not the slop that Burger King puts out. You can check out the menu and read about them here...

But of course ... they're the best beef sandwich in the land!

As for me, I'd rather Rax.   Unfortunately, they are almost completely gone, except for a few locations in Ohio.

Why do you think Rex or Rax is gone and Beef-A-Roo is still thriving and growing? Have you ever been to a Beef-A-Roo in Rockford, Illinois? Do you even know what you're talking about? I don't think you do.

No....beef-a roo is beef-a-roo.....the problem may lie in that they are locally owned.......some serve breakfast, some not.

Are you as dumb as you seem to be? Beef-A-Roo is a locally owned chain serving the Rockford Illinois area. Understand or do you need me to draw you a diagram?

According to 411.com there are restaurants named "Beef A Roo" in both Marquette and Negaunee, Michigan.  And a Google search turned up one in Iron River.

I haven't been able to find any information proving or disproving a link between these and the restaurants in northern Illinois, but it seems to me that time would've been better spent doing a little research instead of composing rude replies...

Why don't you draw a diagram, but be sure to add directions telling you how to shove it into an orifice on your person where the rays of the giant orb that is 93 million miles away from you cannot provide any of its light.

Personally, I cannot see myself eating anything from a place called Beef A Roo based purely on their choice of name.  Much too close to Beefaroni.   But that's just me...every time I've seen the name in this thread I've started giggling and couldn't stop. Luckily, I'd have to drive for several hours in a direction I never go in order to go to one, so it shouldn't be a problem.

I used to like Wendy's, and they're still OK for some stuff, but their prices shot through the roof and the food did not increase in quality along with it.  Arby's has a couple of good sandwiches (none of them beef, now that I think about it), but the main reason I go is to replenish my supply of Horsey Sauce at home.

I've got a diagram for you Michael Hoffman. Take it and shove it up your orifice.

Actually, your questions were obnoxious and rude, and you got a response in kind.

Felix, I do the some thing about stocking up on the Horsey sauce. I love that stuff!

                        I would want them to also sell Kangaro at Beef-a-roo. I would love to try some Roo meat! Oh... I see you can buy it online at;

It seems that my most innocent posts draw penalty flags!  One thing Ive noticed about Arby's in the downwardspiral thay are on is the use of PROP.  That "butter flavored" oil.  It has that cloyingly sweet after taste that I find so off putting.`We had a beautifal looking breakfast at Perkins yesterday that was guilty of the same sin!  I almost threw up at the table I hate the taste so much.  Years back i worked with a chef who used it in hollandaise sauce.  Tasted bad but you could put it under the heat lamp and it wouldnt break!
For those who accuse me of only negative reports on food ill say there is a roast beef joint accross the street from the Mel-odee rest in Park Layne.  The are the best ive had since Roy Rogers in the 70's.

I can't stand Wendy's...the burgers are always soggy it seems, and their bun is too sweet.

I enjoy Arby's giant roast beef sandwich...dressed up with two packets of Horsey Sauce.

I stand corrected. The ones in Illinois are spelled Beefaroo.....as one word, and the ones in the U.P. of Michigan are spelled Beef-a Roo. Two different critters. Sorry to offend JMG......
